So this little baby and I are beyond blessed. We’ve had not one, not two, but THREE baby showers. And actually Micah’s work threw him a shower too, so I guess that makes FOUR! What?!
This little post is to re-cap the third shower, which happened in Washington in late July. It’s still crazy to me that we moved away from Washington three years ago now, and yet have so many beautiful, thriving relationships there that Micah and I can visit for a week, pack our calendar full of quality time with friends and family, go on a camping trip, have a baby shower, and come back exhausted {in a good way} from such an extroverted vacation.
This was one awesome day of that vacation, where my little sister and childhood best friend teamed up to throw an amazingly gorgeous and fun shower for Baby Russum.
I will let the pictures do most of the talking, but I must say that Katie and Sarah make a fine hostessing pair. My crafty lil’ sis did ALL the decorations… and they were so cute I considered scrapping my plans for the nursery and just doing an orange and yellow and gold theme… because seriously…
And Sarah planned out all the food and the game… with the help of her mom and aunt… who are basically like my mom and aunt, since they’ve been lovin’ on me and helping take care of me since I was ten years old. The food was delish. You will want to eat it off the screen.

We had all just been camping together for a week. We could only do the mature, girly, smily thing for so long…

When you’re from a small town, your sister’s girl best friend marries your sister’s guy best friend who happens to be your best friend’s little brother… and since you can’t wrap your head around all the weird family trees,
you just decide you’re all family and it’s AMAZING!

BEEEEE-utiful shower, my dear!!!! Everything and everybody looks so wonderful, and yes I wanted to lick my computer's screen. Seriously, peach pizza? Ummm, hello, I want some of that! Your family and friends sound like mine, we're all goofy and crazy and loving. And we're all family. Baby Russum (and his/her mommy and daddy) are truly blessed. So happy for ALL of you!!!

Also, gotta say I admire you and Micah for not finding out the gender! The type-A planner in me would go crazy, but the spontaneous side would want to be surprised! 🙂
