The other night we had some friends and family over for dinner and we went around the table each saying our favorite place we’ve ever vacationed. When it was my turn, I wasn’t quite sure what to say. Many people had already named cool international locales, so I didn’t want to just repeat what they had said, although London, Paris and Italy {ALL of it!} are very high up on my LOVE list. So I kept it simple… and said San Diego.
Because San Diego is simply magical. Before moving to Arizona, I had never been to Cali’s most southern city, but now that I’ve visited I can’t imagine living more than six hours away from it. In fact, I kind of want to live right IN it. {You can see my past SD posts here, here, and here.}
For example, Coronado Island, I would argue, is the most beautiful place in the U.S. And I’ve seen a lot of places in the U.S. I just love, love, love San Diego. Its beaches, its culture, its sunshine and all its beauty.
So you had better believe how excited I was when we took a quick trip to SD last weekend. Pretty much all of Micah’s remaining PTO is reserved for our Aussie trip next month, so we took advantage of a three day weekend with Veteran’s Day and headed due west. Micah got to surf for three days in a row and I got to chat and lounge and explore with one of my favorite friends, Bekah. Oh, and we got to go to Sea World for free. If you want to see me giddy and overexcited like a child, take me to Sea World. I love that place!

I love Coronado the Hotel Del. One of the companies we shot for paid for us to stay there and I'd love to again!

I've never been, but I'd love to go. Oh, and I love sea world too. It's been way too long since I've been!

Coronado is home to the church we got married in and oh that little bungalow near the waves in La Jolla? Spent so many date nights there with a cup of joe 🙂 Love the sweatshirts.. it's so true, San Diego is cold!
