It’s official. I am in the final stretch. In exactly six days, I will be done with my first year of grad school, if I am still alive by that time. My first paper for the semester is due on Friday and my second paper (on mommy bloggers) is due on Tuesday. I shouldn’t even be wasting any typing energy on this post right now, but I am. I am rebelling because my brain demands to take a break from writing about female chastity in the sixteenth century…
I have to admit right now that the above paragraph is a lie. Kinda. It’s true that I will be done with my own course work next Tuesday, but I will not yet be done with my teaching responsibilities for the year. As soon as I turn in my paper on Tuesday, I will begin grading the last round of essays – 35 of them between Wednesday and the following Monday. Final grades are due on Monday the 16th. Then my summer will begin. Oh wait. In the midst of grading papers, I will also be attending a four day training class to teach online classes next year. That class ends the 17th. THEN summer can officially begin. See this paragraph is kind of depressing, so I am just going to focus on the first paragraph instead.
In a week, I am done with writing papers. Hoorah! Then I will return to being a dedicated blogger and achieve my summer goal of blogging five times a week. I already have a whole list of post ideas saved up in my drafts…
Only one more week of craziness (don’t you dare remind me that it’s really two weeks…)!
Here are all the books I currently have checked out from the ASU library…and I have to pick up a few more tonight that are being held for me. Sick, right?
