It’s true!!! We are going to…

After a year of planning, dreaming, scheming and saving our pennies {quite literally… in a jar in our closet}, we finally booked tickets to fly down under and spend our December in Aussie!
We will be flying into…

And road-tripping up the Gold Coast to…

And we are hoping to do a lot of this along the way…

And this too…

And we also hope to sneak up the Sunshine Coast and visit the…

But we need your help! Our tickets are purchased, but we need to know what to do, where to stay, and what to eat while we are there. If you have ever visited Australia or if you’ve ever lived there, we would love your tips! And of course, any suggestions on how to save money while we are there would be super appreciated, since it’s such an expensive place. In the words of an Australian, we are keen to save money while we are there!
We are so excited and incredibly grateful for this opportunity! Can’t wait to hear your thoughts and advice!
XOXO!

My husband and our married friends are traveling there in December as well! We'll be flying into Sydney and then heading south (we have friends that direction). You should post or send any great Sydney tips you hear my way :)Luckily we have some people to stay with which will cut some costs, but we've heard over and over about how expensive Australia is!

Eek! How exciting, I live just north of the Gold Coast. There is so much to do here and in Sydney. Plus the Sydney to GC roadtrip is really fun, we have done it loads of times. I will put my thinking cap on (pregnancy brain is making things a little fuzzy)and shoot you an email with some must do's, and I hate spending a fortune so I will keep it budget friendly. You will have a blast!

Go to Byron Bay! It's awesome, tons of great surf beaches (Wategos is best for learning) and it's just a sweet town.

I've only been to Sydney once, and while I was there I went to this water park called Jamberoo (http://www.jamberoo.net/) It was awesome! Also Taronga Zoo is a good place to go.(http://www.taronga.org.au/taronga-zoo)
Have fun, cause Australia is crazy pretty… (and crazy hot, as well)
