Apparently,
it’s cardigan season. For those of you who live in colder climates than I do {AKA anywhere else in the United States} I think this is the season where you joyfully
throw aside your winter garb, bust out your sandals and rejoice in 70 degree
weather before summer hits. But because it’s spring… and still breezy or stormy or chilly on occasion, cardigans are a key piece in your
wardrobe during these transition months, so you can wear short sleeves but
throw a cardigan on when the wind picks up or the sun goes down.
At least I
think that’s how it goes…

But I
wouldn’t know anything about that.

Here it is
also cardigan season, but for a different reason. We celebrated our first 100
degree day this weekend… and I finally had to break down and turn on our AC a
couple weeks ago when it was 86 degrees in our house… at night.

So now I
wear cardigans… not for the breezy spring days… but for the arctic AC temps inside restaurants, stores, and

Plus, I
still have to dress professionally for school for a few more weeks. Even though
we have officially moved into shorts and tanks weather… that won’t cut it for
the classroom.

So cardigans
it is for now… until I live in my bikini in my backyard all summer long.

Love cardigans! They're my (nearly unhealthy) addiction when shopping.
The gray one from BR in the last few photos is absolutely fabulous – love the mono color with all the different textures and weaves.

Love this post! I feel like those outside of AZ can't fully appreciate this phenomenon.
Amanda
I love the gray cardigan!! You look fabulous!
Kelly
OMG! I am in LOVE with that Anthro top & the grey Banana Republic cardigan!!! SUPER CUTE girl!
Kaitlyn
I can definitely relate to that in Texas, carrying a cardi everywhere because it's freezing inside buildings. It is rainy season here on my tropical island, I am so ready for sunshine in the valley!
Jessi
That cardigan from Banana is adorable!!! And I hated how cold it always was in school when it was 120 out in Vegas! Its so weird having to carry a sweater with you when it's so hot outside. We've definitely put our cardigans away here.. its going to be 91 here today. Booo. I am not ready for summer, especially considering how brutal last year's was and how mild our winter was. I wish I enjoyed the warm as much as you do 🙂

You have such great style!! 🙂

I hear ya on the frigid AC temps! Theaters, restaurants, stores… yeah it's hot, but does it have to be COLD inside!?! Sheesh.
Kim
i want to be REAL life friends with you, dangit!
krislyn.
So, if I ever need a cardigan, I know where to go! Super cute Jen!

Cardigans are the best thing ever. I'm pretty sure I own too many of them, but I keep buying them anyway! 🙂

You are so cute girl! I pretty much always have a sweater of some sort with me. It may be warm, but so many places inside are not! haha.
Heather
love all three of your outfits!

I totally know about cardigan season! It's not as big of a deal here in SC where air conditioners aren't set on 'arctic blast' all the time, but in Houston where I lived for a few years I ALWAYS had to have a cardigan handy!
