Pour into
two round cake pans if you want to do a layer cake. Grease well. I always use
wax paper and grease the paper.

Bake at 350 degrees for 30-32 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean.
Let layers
cool partially in pan and then move to a rack. When cake is fully cooled, place
one layer on a cake stand and cover the top in a nice thick layer of Nutella.
Place second layer on top.

To make the
frosting, mix the cream cheese, butter, vanilla, milk and powdered sugar until
smooth and creamy. Add more milk if needed to make a smooth consistency. I did
a plain cream cheese frosting, but you might try adding a few tablespoons of
Nutella as you mix the frosting if you want to increase the Nutella flavor of the cake. The result
will be light brown instead of a white.
This looks so good! I was seriously bummed when you talked about it before but kept me in suspense with the recipe. Nutella is one of my favorite foods. All I can say is that I will be making this, but I'm not sure 1/2 c. of Nutella will suffice…I'll probably eat that much at least out of the jar while baking it. I wonder how it would be if I skipped making the frosting all tougher and just covered the thing in Nutella?
oh wow! that looks divine 🙂 thanks for sharing!
